Are there any serial port configuration screens other than the Device Manager >Ports >Serial Ports >Com1 for the Dell Dimension 8100 running Windows 2000 Service Pack 4? I am trying to get HyperTerminal to communicate with an APC SC1500 Smart-UPS SC via serial cable. The port settings are 2400 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, flow control is Xon/Xoff. Advanced Settings has the box labeled FIFO buffer NOT checked.
